1. Who Authorises and Regulates Us?

Motolend LTD trading as MotoLend is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a credit broker (Firm Reference Number: 1054100).

Company Registration Number: 16564707. Registered in England and Wales.
Registered Office: 166a Wanstead Lane, Ilford, Essex, IG1 3SW.
Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) Data Protection Register Number: ZC065336.
Contact Telephone: 0115 661 1111 | Email: sales@motolend.co.uk.

This firm is authorised for specific activities and product types. It’s important to check the full record for what regulated activities this firm has permission to do. You can verify our authorisation details on the Financial Services Register by visiting the FCA website at register.fca.org.uk (FRN: 1054100) or contacting the FCA consumer helpline on 0800 111 6768.

2. Whose Products Do We Offer? (Broker Status & Lender Panel)

MotoLend is a credit broker and not a lender.

We work with a representative panel of carefully selected automotive finance lenders and finance brokers. We do not provide finance ourselves, nor do we offer a whole-of-market comparison. When you submit an inquiry, we introduce you to lenders or brokers on our panel who may be willing to fund your vehicle purchase or refinancing based on your individual circumstances, affordability, and credit profile.

3. Which Services Will We Provide You With? (Non-Advised Service)

We provide an information-only, non-advised service. This means that we do not offer financial advice or recommend a specific finance agreement for your circumstances.

We will gather details about your vehicle purchase requirements and submit them to our panel to identify available finance products (such as Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), Hire Purchase (HP), or Refinancing). We will provide you with factual information, key features, and quotes so that you can make your own informed decision about whether a particular finance product meets your budget and requirements.

4. Credit Searches & Your Credit Report

When you submit your initial application or eligibility check with MotoLend, our panel lenders will initially perform a quotation search (soft credit search). Soft credit searches allow lenders to assess eligibility and provide indicative quotes without impacting your credit score or being visible to other lenders.

If you decide to proceed with a formal finance agreement, the selected lender will undertake a credit application search (hard credit search) before executing the agreement. A hard credit check is recorded on your credit report and may affect your credit rating.

5. What Will You Pay Us for Our Services?

You do not pay any fee to MotoLend for our credit broking service. Our service to you is free of charge.

6. Commission Arrangements & Your Right to Request (CONC 4.5)

As a credit broker, we may receive a financial remuneration or commission from a lender or finance partner when you enter into a credit agreement through our introduction.

This commission may be a fixed fee or calculated as a percentage of the amount you borrow. The commission structure is determined by the lender or broker and may vary between different finance providers and products on our panel.

Important: Under FCA regulations, the commission we receive does not influence the interest rate (APR) you are offered. MotoLend does not use discretionary commission models where commission increases with higher interest rates.

Your Right to Request Commission Disclosure: Under FCA CONC 4.5 rules, you have the right to request disclosure of the amount of any commission we receive in respect of your credit agreement. You can make this request at any time prior to entering into your credit agreement by emailing us at sales@motolend.co.uk or writing to our registered office.
